Let us introduce you the animals of the savannah – live

2021. augusztus 14. 16:07 - webgarden

We’ve recently returned home from Ghana as part of a joint delegation of  WebGarden és a Business Rally Hungary. We’ll soon share a separate post on the business trip, too. In a nutshell, we conducted negotiations on already prepared and potential WebGarden IT projects and checked the scene from the application of Business Rally Hungary’s water desalination’s point of view.

However, today’s post is about SkyDreamCam Unseen’s latest breakthrough, through which animals living in Mole National Park can be shown to the world live.

This wasn’t our first visit to the national park, we have been there 2 years ago when having installed a SkyDreamCam live webcam, which broadcasts a live savannah lake view from the mountain, from the top of hotel Zaina Lodge, where usually elephants and other animals drink and bathe.

It’s worth mentioning that the live video stream comes from the middle of the African savannah and the online connection depends on a mobile tower, therefore, the recording might be slow or interrupted sometimes.

We are proud to be the first and perhaps the only provider of live touristic webcams in the area (including neighboring countries).

We were really looking forward to launching our first solar-powered SkyDreamCam Unseen camera, tested in Montenegro, at Zaina Lodge. We knew we were continuously going to get recordings that could only be seen in documentaries of educational TV channels.

In this area, animals live completely free, taken care of by park guards. The few tourist that come here mind their surroundings, no dropped or blown pieces of plastic can be found in the hotel or in the national park.

Our camera gets turned on by the movement of the animals in front of it, a short videotape is made and the animals get visible in the stream video.

We’ve created a short video of the scenes happening in front of the camera in the past 2-3 days:

Please find our latest videos from the scene here:

The camera can also be woken up by a flying bird or a leaf fluttered by the wind, so there might not always be an animal visible on the recording.

After the successful test period, we also introduced the camera to the management of the national park, who were very pleased to welcome the initiative.

We’ve agreed that additional 10 cameras will be installed in the park by us as soon as possible, which, in addition to tourism, could provide data for scientific research. We’ve agreed to make the videos available for educational purposes, as well.

According to our plans, this can be materialized by September-October this year.

We would like to thank the Embassy of Hungary in Ghana for its assistance during our stay, which greatly contributes to our success in the country.
