Hello Qatar, WebGarden is here!   

Sunshine, gigantic buildings, one of the best airlines, luxury, Arabic hospitality, limitless opportunities: this is Qatar.

Thanks to a lucky timing we could join the business delegation of the HCCI (Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and participate the Silk Road Exhibition, so we could escape a little bit from the cold and rainy European weather into the always sunlit Persian Gulf.

There are two flights from Budapest to Doha daily, operated by Qatar Airways. The flight takes 5.5 hours, not too long. No need for an introduction on the airline, we are huge fans of the quality they provide and of the growth they have lived through in the past years.

Qatar itself is also characterized by quality, luxury and huge growth. They are getting prepared for the 2022 World Cup at full blast and huge infrastructural improvements have been and are being made. Qatar is not only going to be a rich desert country in the near future but also a luxurious tourist paradise where the business is buzzing.

The way the country is getting built is real multicultural cooperation. The world's bests are working on having everything done for the World Cup and the following period perfectly. We were lucky enough to have a look behind the scenes and see how they are getting prepared for the World Cup.

We were delighted to see that they do fully consider sustainable development when planing constructions and the built stadiums are part of the national heritage plan. After the World Cup, stadium stands will be donated to developing countries, stadiums will be transformed to hotels, office buildings, schools and other usefully functionable buildings.

We would like to thank HCCI and the Hungarian Embassy in Qatar for all the help and the well-organized business programs, which were really useful for us.

We have built many useful relations at the Silk Road Exhibition and at the programs organized for the delegation, which might be the beginning of some serious cooperation for us.

In Doha, the capital of Qatar, amazingly beautiful skyscrapers are being built, in which either offices and apartments, hotels or even entertaining entities are operating. We believe WebGarden, with its expertise and products, may be a useful contributor to this development.

We are sure there is a high demand on IT operations, as quality infrastructure (high speed network, secure servers, data backup, teamwork, shared storage, sharing of printers and other network devices, authorization management) is really important to companies operating in these offices. In addition to the basic corporate infrastructure, hotels also need high-quality internet access and IP phones. We at WebGarden can deliver these services in a reliable way and at good value for money. Distance is no obstacle for us. Most of our work can be done remotely, but as two flights a day connect the two countries. we can also be on-site with the right schedule.

Our SkyDreamCam service could not even be more actual than it is right now. Numerous hotels offer magnificent views on the city, the bay or the desert. Sixty-story buildings are also not rare here at all. We would like to show the world the view and the cityscape. There are more than 3100 active webcams in Switzerland, however, only about 10 in Qatar.

As part of our service, we set cameras on top of hotels, where we can broadcast live video of the view, sunset, sunrise, the buzz of the city or the traffic of the cruise ships of the harbor from. Live video streaming is incorporated into the hotel’s website and a one-minute-time-lapse is also available of the last day. Our marketing team ensures that tourists interested in the country find live video streaming on the web and visit our clients' website. A SkyDream live video may bring 3-90000 new visitors to the hotel’s website each month and these visitors are potential tourists.

Real estate developers may also benefit from using a SkyDreamCam. With one or more webcams installed, entire constructions can be recorded and at the end a time-lapse will be provided.

When it comes to residential buildings, homebuyers can follow the construction on a personalized surface, making sure their future home is going to be well-built and beautiful.

During our stay in Qatar we were delighted to have a letter of intent signed by Mr. Saad Al Baddagh, executive director of Al Hafeet Group. The letter of intent declares that Webgarden Hungary and Al Hafeet Group is willing to establish a Hungarian-Qatari joint venture to launch and sell WebGarden IT infrastructure services and SkyDreamCam in Qatar.

We are also negotiating with Al Jassra Group for possible cooperation, where as it turned out also one of our dear Hungarian compatriot is employed.

Now we can reveal that WebGarden might be established in Qatar this year, but in the meantime our services will be already available to Qatari companies.
